Students are expected to observe the following guidelines in order to excel in this course.

 

Attendance

You should be in class on time. Late comers are not welcome because they disturb the class. Each time you are late will be counted as half absence.

You are required to attend all lectures

• Official excuses should be communicated to me within a week.
• University policies regarding unexcused  absences will be applied.

 

Homework

• Homework on the material covered each week is collected on Wednesday of the following week.
• Each homework is treated as one unit irrespective of the number of sections it involves
• Late homework will not be accepted.
• A number of problems (usually 5) out of the homework will be selected at random and graded.
• A homework is worth 10 points.
• To ensure high grade in the homework all problems should be worked out complete and correct.

 

Grades

·        There will be 3 mid term exams and a final in this course.

·        The final exam is comprehensive.

·        The total grade in this course will be based on the above 4 exams and the homework as follows:

o       3 mid term exams                                60%

o       Final exam                                           35%

o       Homework                                            5%

o       Total                                                   100%

·        There are no quizzes in this course.
