Introduction to Differential Equations and Linear Algebra

Course Description

This course covers solution methods for  first order linear, separable, homogeneous, and Bernoulli differential equations. It also covers solutions of higher-order differential equations with constant coefficients and systems of first-order differential equations.

Solutions of systems of linear equations cover the methods of Gauss-Jordan, Cramer's Rule and the inverse-matrix method.

Vector spaces, linear independence and basis are covered in the context of solution spaces of linear systems.

The mathematical software Maple and Mathcad are introduced and used in computer projects for solving differential equations and systems of linear equations.
