Zakariya Al-Hamouz
received his Ph.D., M.Sc and B.Sc. degrees from the KFUPM, Jordan
University of Science &Technology (Jordan) and Yarmouk University
(Jordan) in 1994 and 1989, and 1986, respectively, in electrical
engineering with a specialization in power systems. Since joining KFUPM
in 1994, Dr. Al-Hamouz has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in
electrical machines, power systems protection, and high voltage
engineering. Dr. Al-Hamouz served as the principal investigator of three
funded projects and had been a member in many others. He has
authored/co-authored 78 refereed journal and conference publications. He
has been actively engaged in teaching short courses for engineers from
SEC, ARAMCO, SABIC and other industrial sectors. Dr. Al-Hamouz is a
recipient of many awards. Chief among them are: Excellence in
Research Award, KFUPM, 1999-2000, “IEEE/IAS
"James Melcher" Prize Paper Award, 1999, 1st
IEEE GCC Conference Prize Paper Award, 2003, and Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd
Bin AbdulAziz Al Saud Award For Scientific Excellence for the year
1995-1996. |
