Current Research & Graduate Students

Mr. Khalid Al-Qahtani: working in NLOS mitigation for UWB Communications. The UWB channel Model is implemented and key statistical quantities are identified to identify the NLOS anchored sensors.

Nuruddeen M. Iya     : is working in the characterization of through wall propagation. Special attention is given the the UWB Technology. This research includes both simulation and possibly an experimental setup.

MOHAMMED NASEERUDDIN MAHMOOD: UWB Positioning

Dr. Muqaibel is also interested in Application of Compressive sensing techniques to UWB communications. If you are a graduate student and you are interested and working in the field please feel free to contact me. Dr. Muqaibel is a memeber of an compressive sensing interest group (RESP Group)

In another practical dimension, Dr. Muqaibel is interested in implementation of Bluetooth based positioning systems. He advised three different senior projects related to the concept. Helping pilgrims in Hajj is a main motive to this research.
