Dr. Uthman A. Baroudi received his B.Sc. and M.S. degrees from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia in 1988 and 1990, respectively, and in 2000, he received his Ph.D. from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada, all in Electrical Engineering. In 2000, he joined Nortel Networks, Ottawa, Canada, to work in R&D for next generation wireless networks. Since January 2002, he has been an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at KFUPM. He has published several papers in refereed international journals and conferences. His research interests lies in the areas of radio resource management (RRM) and QoS provisioning for the next generation wireless networks, wireless adhoc, and sensor and actuator networks. Dr. Baroudi has over 30 publications in Journal and Conference Proceedings, and 1 US patent. |
