Christian Sckerl is Vice President Corporate Standardization at Headquarters of Deutsche Telekom. He holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a graduate certificate of special studies in Management from Harvard University. Prior to joining Deutsche Telekom, Christian spent a few years working in the automobile industry. He worked at Mercedes Benz do Brasil and at a division of Mitsubishi Motors do Brasil in the United States.

While in the US he was also engaged as an entrepreneur by starting and helping to develop two start-ups. One of them, Todosport Network Inc. which was active in the new media / sports content / sports marketing was partially sold to Umbro in 2000.

Christian joined T-Venture beginning of 2001 as Investment Manager, the venture capital arm of Deutsche Telekom AG. There he actively managed direct investments and the fund-of-fund product. 2003 he moved to the headquarters where he took over the responsibility to reorganize and manage the corporate standardization activities which focus mostly on the converging technologies covering several aspects of all layers, from applications to access to transport and network service management.  He also holds board positions in related R&D companies and EU strategic platforms.
