- List the service primitives used to establish a connection.
- For each of the service primitives sequences of Figures 6.1 (page 147),
show the exchange of LLC PDUs that implements the
corresponding service
- A LAN has a data rate of 4 Mbps and a propagation delay between two
stations at opposite ends of 20 µs (micro seconds). For what range of PDU sizes does stop-and-wait give an efficiency of at
least 33.33%.
- What parameters are essential for each of the
LLC primitives in Table 6.1 (page 147)?
- Study Figure 6.2 (LLC Protocol Data Unit Formats, page 151), and relate the I/G. C/R, and P/F bits. [Hint: Complete the following table.]
