Research Interests

My research interest involves organic synthesis to make functional materials, polymers and self-organized molecular assemblies. The research is focused on supramolecular chemistry- the chemistry of molecular assemblies. It is a highly interdisciplinary area of science covering chemical, physical and biological entities with complex functions and structures formed by association of two or more chemical species by means of noncovalent interactions. My research effectively utilizes organic synthesis, self-assembly and supramolecular chemistry to create dendrimers, dendritic building blocks, polymers and other related organic materials for application in molecular electronics, artificial channels, nanostructured supramolecular membranes and molecular receptor. At the end, this approach brings a good understanding of both covalent and noncovalent interactions.
