Biocomposites composed on plastics and cellulose fibers have excellent environmental and mechanical properties. Our research group has developed composites of waste cellulose fibers from date palm trees and plastics that excellent strength and weathering properties under the prevailing weather conditions of Saudi Arabia. Future research in the area will focus on thermosetting composites and development of amphiphilic compatibilizing agents.
