 Activities

September 2007 up to date Head of Carbon Nanotechnology Research Unit (CNRU).

 Carbon Nanotechnology Research Unit  (cru) was formed to provide engineering and scientific solutions using, experimental, analytical, and computational techniques necessary for dealing with problems involving , such as aerospace science, bioengineering, environmental energy, materials industry, medical and medicine science, electronic computer, security and safety, and science education.. Emphasis will be on employment of engineering principles and environmentally friendly technologies/techniques to solve diverse environmental problems.

 

The Objective of CNRU

          To design, develop and fabricate a low cost system that can produce high purity and high quality of Nanoscale Carbon Nanomaterials

         To control the morphology of the Carbon Nanomaterials

          To produce the Carbon Nanomaterials at specific chemical and physical properties

          To apply these Carbon Nanomaterials with specific chemical and physical properties and controlled dimensions in different fields

 The main focus of the cnru will be in

    1)   Nanomaterials

2)   Nanopolymerizations 

     3)   Environmental Nanotechnology

4)   NanoComposite

5)   Energy Storage by using Nanomaterials

6)   Nanotechnology in Thermal and Electrical Devices

 

    February 2006 to August 2007 Head of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Research Group ( N&N RG) .

 Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Research Group (n&n rg) was setup to provide engineering and scientific solutions using, experimental, analytical, and computational techniques necessary for dealing with problems involving , such as aerospace science, bioengineering, environmental energy, materials industry, medical and medicine science, electronic computer, security and safety, and science education. Emphasis will be on employment of biotechnology principles and environmentally friendly technologies/techniques to solve diverse environmental problems.

 Five Sub Research groups have been formed under N&N RG to meet the requirements of different applications. More than 20 Researchers (6 full Professors, 3 Associate Professors and 11 Assistant professors) are joining the group. The name of the sub Groups are

·         Bioseparation Research Group

·         Biomedical Research Group

·         Nanocomposite Research Group

·         Nanodevices Research Group
