4.4 Consultation
1- Worked in a few projects (design and construction) involving residential and commercial structures in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia since 1982. Have experience in the analysis of pipelines and the design of anchors and pipeline supports. Worked with the TRIFLEX (pipeline analysis) program for few years.
2- Consultant for Dammam Municipality from 1995-1997 with the approval of H.E. the Minister of Higher Education. The involvement included the assessment of road deterioration; causes and solutions. Many case studies have been evaluated, practical solutions were recommended and field trials have been constructed and monitored closely. The specifications for the selection and construction of pavement materials (asphalt and soil) have been thoroughly modified and new procedures have been adopted.
3- Consultant for Tekfen construction and installation company from 1997 to present and will continue to the year 2000 (God’s willing), with the approval of H.E. the Minister of Higher Education. The involvement includes all geotechnical work (subsurface exploration, foundation design, ground improvement, excavation, dewatering, backfilling and electrical resistivity) for the Eastern Province Water Transmission System Pipeline Project. The pipeline is approximately 85 km long and will feed the blending stations of Khobar, Dhahran, Dammam and Qatif. The pipes in most sections are 60 inches diameter (1500 mm) and pass over all types of soils, i.e. sabkha, dune sands and rocks.
