·    1987-1990             Lecturer, KFUPM. Worked in research studies related to concrete durability and corrosion of steel reinforcement.

 

·    1990-1995             Graduate student, Pennsylvania State University, USA.

 

·    1993-1995             Research assistant, Penn State University, USA.  Worked in a research project entitled “Accelerated Test Methods to Determine Long-term Behavior of Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Composite Materials”, funded by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).

 

            ·    1996-present          Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering Department, KFUPM.

 

            ·    1996-2005             Coordinator for the Building Materials Research Group in the Materials Section, Center for Engineering Research, Research Institute, KFUPM.
