IX.   COMMUNITY  SERVICES

 Participated in an hour program focussing on the role of training centers in upgrading the performance of young Saudis to pursue their profession.  The program is broadcasted in the Saudi Arabian channel on Sunday and Monday, 28 and 29 Nov. 2004.  The program was prepared and conducted by Mr. Osamah Al-Mulla.

1)     Earned the Distinguished Student Advisor award at KFUPM for the academic year 1992-93.

2)     Earned the British Council research awards for two consecutive summers of 1994, and 1995 at University of Sheffield, U.K.

3)     Earned an award from the ASCE-SAS when serving as Program Committee Chairman for year 1991-1992.

4)     Earned an award from ASCE-SAS when serving as president-elect for year 1996.
