Dr. Mohammad Sharif Zami is
an Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture, King Fahd
University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia. He lectured at the
Harare Polytechnic in Zimbabwe, University of Zimbabwe, National
University of Science and Technology in Zimbabwe, University of Salford in
England, and University of KwaZulu Natal in South Africa for 16 years.
During this period he worked also as a freelance and consultant architect
with various international architectural practices. His research interests
include landscape and urban design, earth construction, architectural
heritage conservation and housing. He has published over 35 journal and
conference papers in these fields including one book. Dr. Zami completed a
Bachelor of Architecture degree at the Khulna University, Bangladesh;
Master of Philosophy degree in Architecture at the National University of
Science and Technology, Zimbabwe and a PhD degree at the University of
Salford, United Kingdom.
